Summary

Zouma Consulting Services is hiring a Senior Accountant with at least 5 years of Indian accounting experience to run its accounts end to end, from TDS and GST to financial statements. We need an immediate joiner.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting for Zouma, including journal entries, ledgers and vendor and customer accounts.
• Calculate, deduct, deposit and file TDS returns, and issue TDS certificates, in line with the Income Tax Act.
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and annual returns), reconcile input tax credit, and handle GST queries.
• Complete bank reconciliations on time and resolve open items.
• Own the record-to-report (R2R) cycle: month-end and year-end close, accruals, provisions and account reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and supporting schedules.
• Support statutory, tax and internal audits, and provide documents the auditors ask for.
• Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and statutory deadlines.
• Work with HR and Payroll on salary, reimbursement and payout accounting.

Requirements

• B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter or an equivalent finance qualification.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Indian accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of TDS, GST, bank reconciliation, R2R and finalisation of accounts.
• Proficiency in Tally or Zoho Books (or similar) and advanced Excel.
• Attention to detail, ownership of deadlines and clear communication.
• Able to join immediately.
